HB 2487 HD1   RELATING TO FINANCING THE HAWAII HURRICANE RELIEF FUND.
HSCR 155-00   Makes amendments to make possible a post-huricane issuance of
           revenue bonds to pay claims made under HHRF policies. (CPC,FIN)

HB 2459       RELATING TO THE HAWAII TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND INFORMATION ACT.
HSCR 258-00   Repeals the Hawaii telecommunications and information industries
           Act. (CPC,FIN)

HB 1882 HD1   RELATING TO THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION.
HSCR 275-00   Requires the Auditor to conduct a management audit of the Public
           Utilities Commission and report back to the Legislature and
           Governor before the convening of the Regular Session of 2001.

HB 2469       RELATING TO SUBPOENAS ISSUED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND
           CONSUMER
HSCR 150-00   AFFAIRS.
           Establishes a rate of reimbursement to be paid to financial
           institutions for searching, reproducing, or transporting books,
           papers, documents, or other items designated by a subpoena.

HB 2467       RELATING TO THE CONSUMER ADVOCATE.
HSCR 149-00   Enables the division of consumer advocacy to retain legal counsel.

HB 2222 HD1   RELATING TO CONDOMINIUMS.
HSCR 153-00   Appropriates funds for a comprehensive review of the condominium
           property regimes law and related laws and issues, and the
           development of proposed legislation recodifying the condominium
           law. (CPC,FIN)

HB 2751 HD1   RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE INSURANCE.
HSCR 260-00   Requires motor vehicle insurers to give counties electronic notice
           of policy issuances, cancellations, non-renewals, and lapses.
           Appropriates funds for data base development. (CPC,FIN)

 
HB 2392 HD1   RELATING TO HEALTH.
HSCR 304-00   Requires health insurance coverage under accident and sickness
           individual policies and group health maintenance organization and
           mutual benefit society contracts to include coverage for diabetes
           outpatient self-management training and education, equipment, and
           supplies. (CPC,FIN)

HB 1935 HD1   RELATING TO INSURANCE.
HSCR 305-00   Defines independent bill reviewer (IBR) for insurance purposes;
           requires licensing of IBRs; levies an IBR license fee of $80 and
           $60 a year for services provided by DCCA.  Prohibits IBRs from
           being paid on a contingency fee basis. (CPC/JHA,FIN)

HB 2218 HD1   RELATING TO INSURANCE.
HSCR 152-00   Authorizes expenditures out of the captive insurance
           administrative fund for promotional activities. (CPC,FIN)

HB 2472 HD1   RELATING TO INSURANCE.
HSCR 340-00   Defines a stock insurer.  Specifies that an appointment is
           required from the insurer whose policies are being solicited,
           applications taken for, or sold.  Mandates notices of cancellation
           and nonrenewal for insurance policies. (CPC,FIN)
