SB 2951       RELATING TO TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS                    TIA,JDC
           Require  Hawaii  courts  to  accept  police  use of
           computer analysis  of  conventional  and electronic
           photographs to measure  distances and dimensions of
           physcial  evidence  at   the   scene  of  accident.

SB 2727       MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ACQUIRE LAND      TIA/ECD,WAM
           FOR A PARK IN WAIKIKI, OAHU
           Appropriates $1,000,000  in  FY  2000-2001  for the
           city and  county  of  Honolulu  to  acquire private
           lands in Waikiki  for  a  park; subject to matching
           funds from the city and county of Honolulu. (Ihara,
           Fukunaga)

SB 3068       RELATING TO HONOLULU POLICE OFFICERS             TIA,WAM
           Allows  Honolulu  police  officers  to  exclude  an
           amount on their  state  personal income taxes equal
           to their base pay. (Mizuguchi(BR))

SB 3117       RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES                       TIA,CPN
           Allows police officers  to inspect unlicensed motor
           vehicle  repair   dealers   for   the   purpose  of
           establishing  rightful  title  or  registration  of
           vehicles  or  identifiable  vehicle  components, in
           order   to   determine    rightful   ownership   or
           possession. (Mizuguchi(BR))

SB 2044       RELATING TO THE CONFISCATION OF FIREARMS         TIA,JDC
           Allows  for  the  police  seizure  of  firearms and
           ammunition owned by persons  who have been arrested
           for committing a  violent  crime or domestic abuse.
