           Exempts certain  activities  of  call  centers from
           taxation.

SB 2738       RELATING TO NEW ECONOMY SKILLS TRAINING     ECD/EDU, WAM
           Creates tax credits for new economy skills training
           for the  costs  of  training  in technology related
           skill
           (Ihara, Fukunaga, Levin, Chun Oakland)

SB 2800       RELATING TO THE HAWAII TELECOMMUNICATIONS
           AND INFORMATION ACT.                        EDU/ECD, WAM
           Repeals   the    Hawaii    Telecommunications   and
           Information Industries Act.

SB 2708       RELATING TO THE HIGH TECHNOLOGY 
           DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION                     EDU/ECD, WAM
           Repeals HTDC, HSDC, NELHA, Hawaii Inc., and PICHTR. 
           (Bunda, D.  Ige,  Ihara,  Inouye,  Iwase, Kawamoto,
           Sakamoto, Tanaka)

SB 2784       RELATING TO HIGH TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
                                                       EDU/ECD, WAM
           Authorizes the issuance  of special purpose revenue
           bonds and special facility revenue bonds to develop
           high technology projects.

SB 2999       MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE HIGH 
           TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION          EDU/ECD, WAM
           Appropriates   funds   for   the   high  technology
           development corporation.
           (Bunda)

SB 3036       RELATING TO HIGH TECHNOLOGY                 EDU/ECD, WAM
           Provides  a  GET  exemption  to  a  qualified  high
           technology  business  for  machinery  and equipment
           purchases and allows such  businesses to sell their
           unused net operating loss  carryover and unused tax
           credits   to   other   qualified   high  technology
           businesses.

holding its decision making on these measures on Wednesday, February
16, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. in conference room 212.)
