HB 1883 HD2   RELATING TO RENEWABLE ENERGY              CPN, WAM
(SB 2345)        RESOURCES
              Requires qualified electric utility companies to
              implement renewables  portfolio standards, which
              requires these  utilities  to  possess a minimum
              percentage of renewable  energy resources within
              their overall resource  portfolio.  Provides for
              the  issuance  of  renewable  energy  credits to
              renewable energy generators.

HB 2604 HD2 RELATING TO TAXATION                         CPN, WAM
(SB 2945)     Imposes the  use  tax  on  contracting imported for
           resale  or  use  in  Hawaii.    Provides pyramiding
           relief from the general excise  tax for the sale of
           amusements.    Provides   a  lower  public  service
           company tax rate on telecommunications services and
           transportation services that are resold.  Clarifies
           Acts  70  and  71,  Session  Laws  of  Hawaii 1999.

HB 2751 HD2     RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE INSURANCE  CPN/TIA, WAM
(Sim. to SB 2018)  Requires  motor   vehicle   insurers  to  give
                counties   electronic    notice    of   policy
                issuances,  cancellations,   nonrenewals,  and
                lapses.  Appropriates funds for development of
                a database of insured motorists.  (HB2751 HD2)
