       Changes the name of the "consolidated application
       process" to "facilitated permit process".

S.B. 96 RELATING TO ENERGY RESOURCES                     ECD
       Allows solar devices to be sited for optimal
       efficiency.

S.B. 381  RELATING TO ENERGY                               ECD
       Broadens scope of energy task force to explore the most
       cost-effective means for supporting increased energy
       efficiency and sustainability.

S.B. 814  RELATING TO OUTDOOR RECREATION                   ECD
       Allows for overnight camps on lots with a minimum size
       of 25 acres, and with a maximum density of one campsite
       per acre and not more than 150 campsites per lot.

S.B. 1478 RELATING TO PLANTS                               ECD
       Authorizes the department to designate plants that may
       spread detrimental infestation or infection of an

 
       insect, pest, or disease.  Designates noxious weeds as
       restricted plants.

S.B. 810  RELATING TO NOXIOUS WEED CONTROL                 ECD
       Designates Fiddlewood, Khakiweed, and Common Sandbur as
       noxious weeds.

S.B. 1063 RELATING TO AQUACULTURE                          ECD
       Removes reference to the management of aquaculture
       programs from the statutory purview of the Department
       of Land and Natural Resources.

S.B. 1089 RELATING TO COMMERCIAL MARINE LICENSES           ECD
       Clarifies statutory provisions relating to the issuance
       of commercial marine licenses.  Changes requirements
       for commercial fish catches reports.

S.B. 1090 RELATING TO THE LICENSE FOR IMPORTED MARINE LIFE  ECD
       Clarifies that the Department may limit the possession
       and sale of certain marine life taken from the
       Northwestern Hawaiian Islands.

S.B. 1092 RELATING TO AQUATIC RESOURCES                    ECD
       Amends and repeals certain fishing laws subject to the
       adoption of administrative rules implementing or
       replacing them.

        DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW, IF TIME PERMITS.



Persons wishing to testify should submit 25 single-sided, stapled
copies of their testimony with two holes punched at the top to
the committee clerk, Room 201, State Capitol, 24 hours prior to
the hearing. Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5 pages in
length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-
800-586-6659 (toll free for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours
prior to the hearing.  When faxing, please indicate to whom the
testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing,
and the required number of copies needed for submittal.


 
 
 
 
If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services
to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for
the disabled), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior
to the hearing so arrangements can be made.

measures and testimonies for the hearing will be available for
shared use by members of the public.
