Representative Nadine K. Nakamura serves House District 14, which includes the Kaua'i towns of Hanalei, Princeville, Kilauea, Anahola, Kapa'a, and Wailua. She is the Vice-Chair of the Committee on Housing (HSG) and a member of the Finance (FIN) and Transportation Committees (TRN).
A 25-year resident of Kapa'a and former Managing Director for the County of Kaua'i, Representative Nakamura has deep roots in her community. Mrs. Nakamura operated a planning consulting business for twenty years before being elected to the Kaua'i County Council, where she served from 2010-2013. (Throughout her career in public service, she has worked hand in hand with Kaua'i residents to advance the Garden Island's prosperity and to build a better future for the island's keiki.)
Representative Nakamura holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Affairs and Urban Planning from the University of Southern California. She obtained a Master's Degree in Urban and Regional planning from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa.
