For four decades, Representative Dee Morikawa (House District 17) has been actively involved with Kaua‘i's communities through her work with the County of Kaua‘i. From her early career within Kaua‘i's Department of Parks & Recreation, efforts volunteering in numerous community projects, and coaching youth & high school sports, Representative Morikawa has proven her personal values of community involvement & sacrifice with a profound commitment to bettering the lives within our island community.

Since being elected to the Hawai‘i House of Representatives in 2011, Dee has served as the Chair of the Human Services Committee and Vice Chair of the Health Committee. She has also served as a member on the House Committees of Finance, Hawaiian Affairs, Culture & Arts, Housing, Judiciary and Lower & Higher Education.
