Measure Title: RELATING TO PUBLIC SAFETY.
Report Title: Public Safety; Sheriffs; Civil Service
Description: Repeals exemption from civil service of the first and second deputy sheriff; requires the deputy director for law enforcement and the sheriff to be graduates of a law enforcement academy. Grandfathers in incumbents of the deputy director and sheriff positions. Effective 7/1/2008. (CD1)
