Status

RELATING TO COLLECTIVE BARGAINING.

Amends bargaining unit (14).  Retains state law enforcement officers under bargaining unit (14).  Creates a separate bargaining unit (15) for state and county ocean safety and water safety officers.

Status

RELATING TO PUBLIC EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION.

Establishes the public employees' compensation appeals board to hear appeals requesting the repricing of a class.  Appropriates funds.

RELATING TO THE EMPLOYMENT OF A MINOR.

Requires a studio teacher to accompany, supervise, and advocate on behalf of a minor whenever the minor is on set and a variance from the work hour restrictions to allowable theatrical employment is granted, when employed for theatrical purposes.  Defines "studio teacher".

Status

RELATING TO EQUAL PAY.

Conforms statutory prohibitions against wage discrimination with other prohibitions on employment discrimination.  Clarifies allowable justifications for compensation differentials and remedies for pay disparity.  Requires employers to disclose wage ranges to employees and prospective employees.

Status

RELATING TO EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES.

Prohibits an employer from requiring an employee to enter into a nondisclosure agreement pertaining to sexual harassment or sexual assault.  Prohibits an employer from retaliating against an employee for disclosing or discussing sexual harassment or sexual assault.

HB 1904

Status

RELATING TO THE UNIFORM EMPLOYEE AND STUDENT ONLINE PRIVACY PROTECTION ACT.

Establishes The Uniform Employee and Student Online Privacy Protection Act that adopts uniform laws on protecting the online accounts of employees, prospective employees, unpaid interns, applicants, students, and prospective students from employers and educational institutions.

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW

 

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  Testimony should indicate:

·    Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

·    The Committee(s) to which the comments are directed;

·    The date and time of the hearing; and

·    Measure number. 

 

While every effort will be made to incorporate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website.  This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
