RELATING TO APPRENTICESHIPS.

Appropriates funds to continue and expand health care apprenticeship programs at UH community colleges.  (HB1638 HD1)

Status

RELATING TO COLLECTIVE BARGAINING.

Establishes a collective bargaining unit for graduate student assistants employed by the University of Hawaii.  (HB1651 HD1)

Status

RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII.

Requires the University of Hawaii to submit a report to the legislature within thirty days of each appropriation transfer or changes between programs.

Status

RELATING TO HEALTH.

Prohibits tobacco use and smoking, including the use of electronic smoking devices, by any person on the premises of UH.

Status

RELATING TO RAT LUNGWORM DISEASE.

Appropriates funds to the University of Hawaii at Hilo for research and other activities related to rat lungworm disease.  Conditions release of the funds on the University submitting a report to the legislature listing the specific research and activities it plans to undertake.  Requires the University, along with the Department of Health, Department of Land and Natural Resources, Department of Agriculture, and Joint Rat Lungworm Task Force, to create a statewide plan for the eradication and prevention of rat lungworm disease.
