RELATING TO RENEWABLE ENERGY TECHNOLOGIES INCOME TAX CREDIT.

Clarifies the renewable energy technologies income tax credit.

Provides tax credit rates and certification requirements for various renewable energy technologies.  Requires an annual report from Department of Taxation and a 2017 study from the Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism.

Provides a graduated reduction of rates for the renewable energy technologies tax credit for various types of renewable energy properties.  Requires an annual report from Department of Taxation and a 2017 study from the Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism.  Applies to taxable years after December 31, 2012.

Status

RELATING TO RENEWABLE ENERGY.

Amends the tax credit for solar energy systems.  Defines certain types of solar energy systems and the tax credits applicable to each.  Effective July 1, 2013; applicable to taxable years after December 31, 2013.

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW

 

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  Testimony should indicate:

·     Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

·     The Committee(s) to which the comments are directed;

·     The date and time of the hearing; and

·     Measure number. 

 

While every effort will be made to incorporate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
