A BILL FOR AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE TENTH SENATORIAL DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2004-2005:
1. Ala Wai elementary school
Parking "lot resurfacing $ 67,000
Permanent fence and gates for entire campus 25,000
Cafeteria reroofing G building 92,000
Library reroofing F building 50,000
Total funding $ 234,000
2. Prince Jonah Kuhio elementary school
Connection of the administrative and library buildings
Design $ 200,000
Construction 700,000
Total funding $ 900,000
3. King Lunalilo elementary school
School classroom renovations $ 1,360,000
Electrical upgrade of entire school 300,000
Total funding $ 1,660,000
4. Manoa elementary school
Electrical system upgrade $ 300,000
Covered play court 500,000
Fire access road improvements 150,000
Ramps for handicapped access 150,000
Total funding $ 1,100,000
5. Noelani elementary school
Multi-storied building $ 2,500,000
Multi-purpose covered play court 2,000,000
Two-story cafeteria 1,750,000
Eight classrooms 3,000,000
Tiled roadway near Woodlawn Drive 400,000
Library expansion and improvements 1,000,000
Two elevators for the handicapped 750,000

6. Roosevelt high school

7. Stevenson middle school

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the department of education for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2004.
