A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the twelfth, thirteenth, and fourteenth representative districts.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2002-2003.

1. To be expended by the department of accounting and

general services:

A. Kilauea school, Kauai

Design, construction, and equipment for a new cafeteria.

Total funding $2,200,000

B. Waimea high school, Kauai

Design and construction of new locker rooms.

Design $1,000

C. Waimea high school, Kauai

Design and construction of an eight-classroom building.

D. Waimea high school, Kauai

Design, construction, and equipment to improve the electrical system, bleachers, and parking lot.

Construction of an effluent disposal and anaerobic digestion system.

Construction for improvements to the sports complex, including relocation of little league field, parking improvements, and irrigation for soccer field.

E. Drainage master plan, Kauai

Development of a drainage master plan for the Kapaa and Wailua areas.

F. Kapaa fire station, Kauai

Plans, land acquisition, design, and construction for a new fire station.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agencies for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2002.
