A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the forty-fourth representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $ , or so much thereof as may be necessary, and the same sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated for fiscal year 2002-2003, for the following capital improvements in the forty-fourth representation district:
1. Kamaile elementary school, Oahu
Hand wash station on mauka side of café for
students.
Design $ 4,000
Construction 15,000
Total funding $ 19,000
2. Leihoku elementary school, Oahu
Repair and maintenance to the cafeteria interior.
Design and inspection 20%
Total funding $ 20,000
3. Leihoku elementary school, Oahu
Painting of the exterior of G-Building.
Total funding $ 5,000
4. Makaha elementary school, Oahu
Additional parking area.
Design $ 15,000
Construction 150,000
Total funding $165,000
5. Makaha elementary school, Oahu
Electrical upgrade.
Design $ 50,000

Central air conditioning in library.

Paving/renovation of a dirt firelane to stop

Electrical upgrades especially for the office,
J Building, and the library to prevent blackouts
and allow for air conditioning in the classrooms
and computers in the classrooms.

SECTION 2. The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of accounting and general services for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2002.
