A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

relating to state parks.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. Chapter 184, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

"§184- Sand Island state recreation area; officially renamed to 100th Infantry Battalion state recreation area. The official name of the state recreation area situated on Sand Island, Oahu shall be the 100th Infantry Battalion state recreation area, in honor of the soldiers who served their country and the territory of Hawaii with unquestionable loyalty and selfless bravery during World War II."

SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
