A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO THE PENAL CODE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 709, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§709- Trafficking in fraudulent identification; manufacture and sales. (1) A person commits the offense of trafficking in fraudulent identification if the person intentionally or knowingly manufactures or sells, to a person under twenty-one years of age, an identification card or other form of identification, whether tangible or intangible, that appears to be, but is not, an official form of identification issued by the government of a State, the United States, or another nation.
(2) Trafficking in fraudulent identification is a class C felony."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
