Employment Security; Weekly Benefit Amounts; Contribution Rate Schedules; Unemployment Compensation Fund
RELATING TO EMPLOYMENT SECURITY.
Sets the maximum weekly benefit amount at seventy-five per cent of the average weekly wage from April 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012. Sets, for calendar year 2012, the employer contribution rate at schedule F. Authorizes the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations director to accept loans from the State Director of Finance or from the federal government under Title XII of the Social Security Act. Authorizes the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations director to increase the employment and training assessment in increments of .01 per cent retroactive to January 1, 2012, for payment of interest on federal loans for unemployment insurance benefits. RELATING TO HOSPITALS.
Establishes a hospital sustainability fee and the hospital sustainability program special fund to receive moneys from the hospital sustainability fee to receive federal medicaid matching funds under the QUEST Expanded Medicaid Section 1115 Demonstration Waiver. Requires the Department of Human Services to charge and collect a provider fee on health care items or services provided by hospitals. Effective July 1, 2012. Repealed on June 30, 2013. (HB2275 CD1)

Transportation; Bridges; Exemptions
RELATING TO TRANSPORTATION.

General Excise Tax; Nonprofits
RELATING TO TAXATION.
Mandates that nonprofit organizations receive notice before denial of general excise tax benefit; limits liability of persons having control of certain amounts held in trust for nonprofit organizations. Defines "nonprofit organization". (CD1)
