The official website of the UH system, the site includes information on each of the campuses, the Board of Regents, and university-based research. Also includes a listing of campus news headlines and events.
Hawaii Teacher Standards Board Provides information on teacher licensing and special teacher permits. Includes a listing of standards for teachers, school counselors, and school librarians. Also includes inforamation and links about the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
Hawaii Content and Performance Standards III Database Operates as an interactive database that allows the user to search for information necessary to plan for standards-based instruction. Materials are organized by content area and grade-level/course. Information provided includes benchmarks, rubrics, and sample performance assessments.
Hawaii State Teachers Association The digital home of the state's teachers' union, this site includes a parent resources section with tips designed by teachers covering a range of academic topics. Also includes information on how to become a teacher in Hawaii as well as news and press releases regarding the teachers' union.

Education -- Research and Statistics
National Center for Education Statistics Run by the U.S. Department of Education, this site provides statistics and information resulting from the National Assessment of Educational Progress project. The site includes an extensive amount of data both about the NAEP project and about each state's performance within the project. There are also additional links to related sites.
National Conference of State Legislatures NCSL is a bipartisan organization that provides several services, including research and technical assistance, for policymakers, to create a forum for the exchange of ideas on state issues. The website has an Education Bill Tracking Database which allows the user to search for legislation in different states by topic, as well as a "This week in Education" feature that provides timely updates on education policy, news, and research.
CEP is a grant-funded organization that seeks to imporve the academic quality of public education by working with a variety of stake-holders at all community levels. The site includes essays and information on subjects relating to public education and is organized by content area.
Consortium for Policy Research in Education CPRE is an organization focused on practical research to improve elementary and secondary education. The consortium unites researchers from the University of Pennsylvania, Teacher's College Columbia University, Harvard University, Stanford University, University of Michigan, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Northwestern University. The site includes education research divided into content areas with lists of related articles and publications available for purchase.
Education Commission of the States ECS is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization meant to provide opportunities to encourage interstate collaboration and the development of policy based on available research. The site includes a list of available publications, as well as e-newsletters, one of which provides links to education-related news articles around the country.
National Institute for Early Education Research NIEER is a research institute that focuses on supporting high quality, effective, early childhood education. NIEER offers research-based advice and technical assistance to policy-makers, journalists, other researchers, and educators. The site provides education-related news, various reports and publications, and early education-related data.
The National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education The Center is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that prepares analyses of higher education opportunities and achievements with an emphasis on policy issues.
