Aloha!

Please join me for a Talk Story on Monday, February 27th from 5pm to 8pm at the King Kamehameha Hotel in Kailua-Kona.

Agenda items will include:

  • Healthcare Access and the state of the Uninsured in Hawaii
  • Big Island Coqui Frog Initiatives
  • Pending Land Use Legislation and its impact on West Hawaii, including Hokulia
  • Capital Improvement Projects that I am working on to bring significant resources to Kona (primarily for roads and affordable housing)
  • Status of the Ice Epidemic
  • Traffic Safety Update
  • Update on the West Hawaii Community Health Center

I hope to see you on Monday, February 27th so that we can discuss these issues and whatever other issues that are most important to you personally. I want to be an advocate for our entire community.

Thus far this session, by taking a non-partisan approach to the work at hand, and with the help of the administration, my colleagues and the private sector, I have had success in passing legislation to guarantee health coverage for all of Hawaii's children. This should go into effect this coming summer.

My basic premise has been this, we should do anything we can, together, to strengthen our local families. By providing insurance for all of the keiki and funding programs in our schools to fight ICE, we have succeeded in doing just that.

Thank you for all of your support and input. It makes it possible for me to do the job.

See you soon! Please bring a friend.

Most sincerely,

Josh
