TOPICS OF INTEREST
- Hawaii Energy Policy Forum
Representative Carroll believes that Hawaii's energy resources must be used in an efficient manner that emphasizes the importance of conservation and renewable resources. House Bill No. 2848, C.D. 1, appropriates funds to reconvene the Hawaii Energy Policy Forum (Forum) to develop an action plan, timeline, and benchmarks, and to further engage Hawaii's leaders and stakeholders in implementing the Forum's visions, concepts, and recommendations for Hawaii's preferred energy future.

- Honopou Bridge
Representative Carroll's concern for the safety of residents of the Honopou district of the county of Maui has led to House Bill No. 2737, S.D. 1, which seeks to resolve ownership issues relating to Honopou road, including Honopou Bridge. This bill also requires the Department of Transportation to determine the costs of strengthening Honopou Bridge to allow firetrucks to safely cross and reach area residents in need of assistance.
- Adult Entertainment Products
Representative Carroll takes seriously the issue of what is appropriate to be viewed or showcased to the public, especially our children. She has introduced House Bill No. 2885, H.D. 2, which requires that a business selling adult entertainment products obscure them so that they may not be viewed from off the premises. In addition, this measure requires that adult entertainment products be segregated and obscured from areas of the premises where other products are sold.
