Streamlines the reporting requirements of the Department of Human Services (DHS)and the family courts to require DHS, upon direction of the court, to provide the family court with an oral or written report regarding the safety of a minor child of the parties on or prior to the next regularly scheduled court hearing. Requires Department of Human Services (DHS) registered or licensed child care facilities to: (1) Place any child less than a year old on the child's back to sleep; (2) Discuss the Safe Sleep Policy with the child's parent or legal guardian before the child is enrolled in the facility; (3) Complete training in safe sleep practices; and (4) Report the death of a child, employee, or household member, and any illness or injury received at the facility to DHS within one working day of occurrence. Civil Actions; Limitation of Actions; Sexual Offenses Against Minors
RELATING TO CIVIL ACTIONS.
Allows a civil action for recovery of damages to be brought by persons subjected to sexual offenses as a minor against the person who committed the act at any time by repealing the statute of limitations. Repeals the period during which a victim of child sexual abuse may bring an otherwise time-barred civil action against the victim's abuser or an entity with a duty of care, including the State and counties.
